Originating from Tian Wei Signature, who provides confinement food catering service. They have expanded into the zhi char business with the opening of Tian Wei Seafood located at the industrial estate of 81 Tagore Lane.
Their fresh seafood selection looks pretty meaty (or big) and they have a frozen section where customers can choose their fish and cooking style.

They have the Empurau which you can choose to cook 2 ways : The head can be fried and the body can be steamed.

The food tasting list consists of :
- Original Mala Crab
- Yuzu Wasabi Oyster
- Steamed Garlic Bamboo Clam
- Trio Egg Spinach
- Yangzhou Fried Rice
- Fish Maw & Crab Meat Soup
- Steamed Ladyfingers
Fish Maw & Crab Meat Soup

Who needs Sharks Fin Soup when you’ve got the Fish Maw & Crab Meat Soup? Add some vinegar if you like, have a bowl of this soup and save the sharks.
Trio Egg Spinach

Spinach with 3 types of eggs : Normal, salted, century. Not too salty and goes really well with rice.
Steamed Ladyfingers

I’m not really a fan of ladyfingers. I don’t even eat them in the curry fish head. However, I received instructions that I have to give this a go and write about it.
Surprisingly the lady finger doesn’t have any extra taste. It is soft, easy to chew and the soy sauce is the one providing most of the flavour.Yuzu Wasabi Oyster
Yuzu Wasabi Oyster

Cold lobster served with Yuzu and a hint of wasabi, FRESH.
Yangzhou Fried Rice

Can’t really go wrong with fried rice. I finished the whole plate.
Personally, I would like more egg that’s all.
Steamed Garlic Bamboo Clam

One of my favourite dishes for this session. Great for garlic fans.
Under the clam is tang hoon, soaked in garlic and sauce.
Original Mala Crab

The hero dish of the restaurant. This version is the least spicy version but if you REALLY LOVE mala then you can go ahead and tell them you want it spicier.
For the least spicy version, the mala is not overwhelming, thus making it easier to eat for non mala fans like me.
I do have to say that this is the MEATIEST crab I have ever eaten at any restaurant, not even at Jumbo Seafood or Thailand. The downside for most people however might be the price. For these 2 big crabs, it will set you back $176. (Currently $80 per kilo)
If you have any events worth celebrating and you’re a seafood fan. Head down to Tian Wei Seafood and get really meaty seafood!
