Warming Hearts. Saving Lives.
Project LIVES! is RADION’s humanitarian relief & awareness campaign. For 10 years now, this campaign has helped to nurture thought and has brought together Singaporeans from all walks of life in caring for the world beyond our shores.
This October, we ask of you to help protect rural communities in Thailand from an upcoming cold season. We are filling a 40-foot container with relief items that would brace villages for temperature dips – that at times go as low as 2°C!
You can play a part.
Do You Have These Items To Give Away?
COLD WEAR
Those winter essentials and other cold wear in your wardrobe could come in handy to protect others from the cold!We are taking in jackets, warm shirt/pants, gloves and also blankets – anything that would keep a person warm!
PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS
Way too many hotel/airline amenity kits in your cabinets? Donate them to a wonderful cause during Project LIVES!We are accepting unused toothbrushes, toothpaste, sewing kits, shampoo, soap – Everything that can be used for relief and development work.
CANNED FOOD
That tin of biscuits could go a long way in helping vulnerable communities in northern Thailand get through an impending cold season. You can donate non-perishable food items such as biscuits, canned food, instant noodles, milk powder and/or dried protein items. Do kindly check that they have a shelf life of at least one year. Thank you!
EDUCATIONAL TOYS
You might be wondering what they have to do with humanitarian relief work. Well, we’ve found that these toys are helpful in the long-term development of a child, promoting creativity and problem-solving skills, and not to mention provide hours of fun for the kids!
So if you have preloved educational toys to give away – such as Lego sets, building blocks, or puzzles suitable for children, do consider bringing them to us!
