Who would have thought that a shoe company would open a cafe?

It surprised me when I first saw it at Jewel. Now after 5 months and the crowd has died down, we decided to give this place a go.

The right unit, sits the shoe shop. The cafe is on the left.

You have a choice of sitting outside or inside. The inside is pretty cramped, however you have sofa, high table, round table and square table options on the outside.

Beef Ragu Pasta
$18

Penne with slow cooked Angus Beef. Almost like the ox tail stew I made at home with more tomato. The beef was soft and succulent, the sauce wasn’t overly acidic.

Cold Truffle Pasta
$18

Well plated cold Angel Hair Spaghetti. Felt like I was eating cold soba. The generous amount of truffle oil had me smelling truffle almost the whole day.

Wild Mushroom Soup
$12

Served with a slice of toasted sourdough bread. I’m guessing that the soup isn’t dark grey because their recipe probably doesn’t have much Portobello Mushrooms. Creamy and nice to drink, but if you’re a Portobello person, you might be disappointed.

Chef’s Classic Caesar
$16

Not bad really, has grilled chicken and a poached egg. Pretty filling.
The pomegranates were a really nice touch to the dish.

Unfortunately, I know how to cook all these at home so I probably won’t go back to this place as often as others. Otherwise the quality is really good.

Recommended for those who are too lazy to cook.
