Super slow is the key word for this drama, Love That Makes You Cry. It is not entertaining. If you want to get entertained, please search for Kdrama. But if you can last through 10 episode, you will be rewarded with realistic storyline and hopefully by the end of it all, it leaves you with deep thoughts about life.
Once again, no fireworks or celebration ending here.

Powerful OST background tracks play to hint you to watch for those moment.

While I do read there are complains of drag and unnecessary scene.
If you ever experience not knowing what do you but the only way to live is to carry each day forward. You will actually find it real and the settings and pace are spot on.

If you think boring drama, maybe you’re not in the mood to watch it, skip this drama and come back to it when you’re ready.

Well neither did my wife and I cry in “Love That Makes You Cry”. But the drama left us pretty somber, in a good way. We both discussed about it and came to appreciate the little details shown in the Drama.

Personally, I advocate for people to consider about their giving positive message and moving forward.
I don’t really like the Poverty and helplessness, bully, loneliness, depressing theme. I also have to reconcile with the fact, in life, there are people who survives by only feeding their memories, they face loneliness and unable to make much progress. But to find hope one day at a time.

Continuous labor and struggles each individuals have to go through is sometimes quite tough to continue watching.

Realistic Japanese Culture

Some scenes included the ugly side of Japanese culture (or rather human nature), which Japanese dramas are very strong at putting out on reality of life.

Overall feel are accurately portrayed in the drama. No “over the top kind” of emotional roller coaster. In fact the depth realistic acting is enough to make you have feels. Awkward silences, and beautiful pauses. Both leads are genuine in their character. I can’t believe the lead actors when they simply declare their love, so pure and just without hesitation, without any ulterior motive. Just two simple and honest people trying their best. That itself touched me.
There are no surprises, you know roughly what comes next and simply watch. I guess the director simply wants us to watch how the characters act it out. As it resembles close to real life!

Powerful Love That Makes You Cry OST

Again coming back to the Theme song and OST, i really got all the feels when they turn the music on. (pun intended)

The common medium used are:
Mother’s Letter
In the Bus,
Bus stop,
Slopedown Road,
Flower on Stone Pavement and Flowers
Mr Mover
Orange Winter Coat
Chiba Dog

Author CynLynn did extremely well for breaking down and explain the symbolism and culture and making every episode even more meaningful than it already is!
Thanks for the effort!
