Finished Season 1 of Black Mirror, all 3 were exceptional but the episode which stood out to me was Episode 3 – the Entire History Of You. I can relate to this episode like I somewhat had experienced the kind of trauma in an old old relationship. It felt like yesterday. You see, when mistakes were made, it doesn’t disappear. No matter how much one can hide the truth. It will come back one day.
I do feel for the Assh*le Liam (lead actor), indeed the suspicions weren’t for naught. There’s something, but just not meant for us to know. Maybe it’s for our own good.
For me, I have high intuition, if I suspect there’s something going on with a person or situation, more likely than not, I’m right.
To counter my suspicious nature or intuition. I will prep for the worst-case scenario. So yeah, The Entire History Of You is MindF*k for me. Because it took me several lessons to learn to wise up and not to trust worldly advice…ahem Disney.
One life lesson demonstrated in this episode is especially essential for practical relationship. That is to NEVER ever walk away from your Girl during / after an argument. Yes, there are times where fights can get so heated up to the point, you just want to walk away before you guys kill one another. But that is the worst decision any couple can make. Walking away means you release the power of the love and relationship for one another. The other words, walking away means pushing your partner off to other opportunities lurking around to grope him/her. And either party may do something regrettable.
When mistakes happen, you cannot bear the dominoes of consequences.

Negative emotions can cloud our judgment so much that we might make mistakes that could never be mended. Usually, when a couple breaks up due to distrust, there is this weird tug of war between break up and to patch back up.
Because there’s so much love yet so much distrust to the point where the relationship can no longer be the same. And trust is no longer a foundation. There is no way for reset for relationship because the scenes and what-ifs will replay on its own.
There is no way for reset for relationship because the scenes and what-ifs will replay on its own. – The never-ending loop
So…again, Never walk away from an argument. You don’t want to move forward while chained by past memories.
There’s so much in The Entire History Of You (the last part is heart-breaking*Spoiler below), but I need to point this out.
Not walking away is one of the most important aspects of the relationship.
Neglect is a master you don’t want to get too close to. (Talk about this next time)
*Spoiler: Liam doubted if Ffion loved him in the first place. Her smile, and those loving gaze. Was it for him? What’s in her mind? Or Ffion truly loved him, then was it his own suspicion which caused him to disbelieve what he sees.
The never ending loop.
Thus the open ended ending. Brilliant.
